Mr Bijay Kumar did his graduation from NIT Jamshedpur in Civil Engineering and did his MBA from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Both the degrees in First class with Distinction.

After superannuating from IndianOil from the post of General Manager (Alternate Energy) ,Corporate Office, he is currently working with IndianOil as Consultant (CBG-Projects), and is also holding the post of Chief Technical Adviser in Indian Bio Gas Association.

He has vast experience in Oil & Gas Industry & worked in various departments of IndianOil like Engineering, Vigilance and Business Development. He was In-charge of “Waste to Energy” vertical of IndianOil as General Manager (Alternate Energy), Corporate Office Indian Oil and in this role, he was instrumental in conceiving & drafting all CBG & SATAT policies / frame work for its PAN India launch on behalf of MoP&NG.

His work in SATAT has shown the result as despite of two years of COVID pandemics period, the CBG & SATAT is steadily growing and is taking a new shape with many policy intervention and more and more CBG plants are getting commissioned and new CBG retail outlets are getting added up.

He was also holding the post of Director in Indian Oil Panipat Power Consortium Limited, which is a Joint Venture Company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Marubeni Corporation (MC), Japan.

Mr Kumar has travelled extensively and had represented India as part of International Delegation to Germany for “Waste Management”.
